Netflix announced on Thursday that Bridgerton is officially coming back for season 2.
It seemed like a sure thing that the Shondaland series, based on a series of romance novels by Julia Quinn, would be picked up for a second season given its popularity, but fans have been patiently waiting since the first season dropped on Christmas.
An announcement from Lady Whistledown herself confirms that season 2 is set to start production in the spring. She also teased that Anthony Bridgerton (played by Jonathan Bailey) “intends to dominate the social season”, which makes sense seeing as book two – titled The Viscount Who Loved Me – focuses on his character.
