3 Questions following ‘Riverdale’ 4×06 “Hereditary”

This week’s Riverdale mainly focused on Archie’s big feud with Dodger, which led him to call an unlikely source for help. Episode 4×06, titled “Hereditary”, left me with a ton of questions about what’s to come. Here are my three biggest ones:
Did Archie just make a big mistake?
Up until this point, I haven’t been a big fan of the Archie vs. Dodger storyline. But Wednesday’s episode may have changed all that. As we know, Archie has been taking in Dodger’s kids and rehabilitating them, giving them real jobs so that they’ll stay off the street. This pisses Dodger off so he trashes Archie’s gym and tries to kill Archie with a drive-by shooting.
So who does the redhead call on for help? Hiram! No, I’m not kidding! He calls the same man who tried to get him arrested and kill him. Hiram tells him that he can’t help him but as the episode ends, Archie and Reggie find a badly beaten Dodger rolled up in a carpet outside the gym.
Obviously, this was mob work and Hiram clearly had some hand in this. Did Archie make a big mistake in asking for Hiram’s help? We will have to wait and see but I have a feeling this is going to come back and bite Archie in the ass.
Is Jughead’s digging going to be his demise?
This week Jughead investigated who actually wrote the first-ever Baxter novel and it may end up having deadly consequences. He is convinced that his grandfather Forsythe was the true author because of the tone, wording, and historical knowledge, which is something the other four books didn’t have.
He meets with Mr. DuPont, who is offended by the accusations. Jughead then asks Mr. Chipping for help and he agrees. But later, he is so scared that he jumps out of the window as the others look on. Uh guys, it’s not normal in this universe for a teacher to just jump out of the window to his death. SO WHY SIT THERE AND DO NOTHING?!
Anyway, Mr. DuPont is the new man in charge of the class and the look he gave Jughead at the end of the episode has me thinking that Jughead may be in danger.
What is Charle’s really hiding?
Betty might be in real danger. “Hereditary” sees her meeting with her “brother” Chic in prison and he tells her that Charles murdered some guy after being high on Jingle Jangle. Betty confronts Charles and has him take a polygraph, but he says that Chic is actually the one who committed the murder.
Towards the end of the episode, Charles visits Chic and it turns out they’ve been in cahoots the entire time. They tell each other “I love you” and press their hands against the glass. I can’t figure out if “Charles” is Chic’s brother, boyfriend, father, or someone who just hates the Coopers. But it’s clear that he’s out for some sort of revenge.
