‘The Flash’ 6×03 recap: Barry tells the team about his impending death

In Tuesday night’s episode of The Flash, Barry opened up to Team Flash about his impending death during the upcoming crisis and a villain was officially born.

In case you missed it, here’s a recap of what went down:

Frost is icy

The main storyline revolved around Frost and her reaction to finding out that her new “life” ends during the Crisis. She joins Barry as a “meta consultant”, investigating the attack at Dr. Ramsey Rosso’s lab at the end of last week’s episode. Ramsey realizes Caitlin is a meta but despite Frost’s warning, Barry asks for the doctor’s help.

Barry grows frustrated with Frost but eventually he understands her frustration, mainly because he’s about to die in a few months. Frost has never had a birthday party, so Barry throws her one at S.T.A.R. Labs. Frost goes outside to talk to Barry and she tells him she knows he’s going to die because of how he talks about the future, he’s never a part of it.

At the end of the episode, Barry and Iris finally came clean to the team about Barry’s death in Crisis, with Barry telling the group they can’t try to save him.

Bloodwork is born

Also, The Flash and Frost go investigate Romero’s attack on Ramsey’s office and Ramsey offers to help. Barry, however, soon discovers that Ramsey was angling to steal STAR Labs’ dark matter for himself. However, Ramsey, when confronted, did not “flip a switch” and go full villain. Instead, he copped to his deception and agreed to play nice.

But by the end of the episode, Ramsey figured out the blood could prove to be life-extending and had the blood “reach” his skin, absorbing itself into his body. This turned Ramsey evil, desperate for more blood. We’ve got Bloodwork, folks!

Episode Notes

  • Elsewhere in the episode, we were introduced to a new version of Wells, Harrison “Nash” Wells. He came to Central City to find a rare substance and at the end of episode, he seems to have found it.
  • Ralph and Cecile tried to defend Ralph’s mother from a bar robbery but a look at the cameras saw his mother not only lying about her whereabouts but the person she was with.
  • Overall, this episode was pretty boring except for the final 10 minutes or so. It really did not do much for the future storylines moving forward.
