Apple has released the first full trailer for The Morning Show which gives viewers a full look at the drama starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell. The show will explore the “high-stakes world of morning news and the lives of the people who help America wake up in the morning.”
The trailer opens with Aniston’s Alex Levy breaking the news that Mitch Kessler, her co-host of 15 years that is played by Carell, has been fired for what is presumed to be sexual misconduct allegations. Levy then finds herself struggling to find herself again in an industry that is full of ageism and sexism, while her new, younger co-host Bradley Jackson (Witherspoon) guns for her job.
In addition to Aniston, Carell and Witherspoon, The Morning Show also stars Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Desean K. Terry, Jack Davenport and Janina Gavankar.
There is no specific premiere date for the show, although Witherspoon announced back in March on Instagram that the show would premiere sometime this fall.
