Laine Hardy made a name for himself as the American Idol Season 17 winner. He returned to the singing competition after being cut during the Top 50 in season 16.

I got to talk to Laine ahead of A Capitol Fourth in Washington, D.C. We talked about what it means to him to be a part of this event, what he took away from his first stint on American Idol and how he applied that to his second stint, what he is currently nerding out about and more!
