Brandon Routh and Tyler Hoechlin will both suit up as Superman for Arrowverse crossover

Since this year’s Arrowverse crossover is expected to be the biggest superhero television event ever, it is only fitting that one of the best superheroes ever would make an epic appearance.
Deadline is reporting that Brandon Routh and Tyler Hoechlin will both reprise their roles as Superman, playing him in different time frames. The news was officially revealed at San Diego Comic Comic-Con Friday.
Both Routh and Hoechlin are already key members of the Arrowverse. Hoechlin plays Superman on Supergirl, while Routh plays Ray Palmer/Atom on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. However, fans might also remember that Routh played Superman in the 2006 film Superman Returns.
This year’s Arrowverse crossover is titled “Crisis on Infinite Earths” and will see heroes from Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman come together to try and save the multiverse. The five-episode event will begin with three episodes in December and conclude in January.
