Thursday night’s Big Brother saw Camp Comeback close for good as one houseguest returned to the game and the other three were officially evicted.
Host Julie Chen Moonves kicked off Thursday’s live show by informing the houseguests that tonight would be the night that Camp Comeback would officially close. We get a recap montage of footage from the last few days, including the Nick and Bella’s possible blindside and Nicole staying in the house.
Julie returned for the live vote and eviction. Cliff was sent to Camp Comeback on a 6-4 vote, but there was little time to waste as he joined David, Ovi, and Kemi for the competition and the chance to return to the house.
This competition is basically a crapshoot as they roll balls down a wobbly board and the first houseguest to sink all six balls would return to the game. It was easy as Cliff was the only houseguest to put a ball in the tube, which secured his place back in the game.
When you think about it, Camp Comeback was kind of a flop. David, Ovi, and Kemi wasted their time for three weeks when the guy who was evicted 20 minutes before the competition ended up returning.
Anyway, the three evictees joined Julie on stage for an interview about their time in the house. An emotional David was crying during the commercial break and could not really put into words how he was feeling.
“I tried,” a tearful David said. “I’m so proud of Cliff and what he did. I don’t want to be on this side, but he destroyed that competition.”
When asked about why Camp Comeback members were shunned, Ovi said: “It was strictly game. You’re in Big Brother to play a game and they (other houseguests) felt it was best to not tell us information. It sucks but I get it.”
Kemi on the split vote: “I was shocked. This was the first split vote of the season. I thought it was six votes for Nicole to go but I’m happy she is still in the house.”
