Ingrid Michaelson Releases Debut Single from ‘Stranger Things’-Inspired Album

Many people love Stranger Things, but Ingrid Michaelson might be the Netflix show’s biggest fan, as evident by her new single, “Missing You”.

The single — which is out now — is the first song released from her forthcoming album, Stranger Songs, which was inspired by the hit show.

“There’s something about Stranger Things that’s really comforting,” she said in a press release. “It brings me back to my childhood. It’s the best kind of escapism and I find myself seeking that now more than ever. I took inspiration from the show and the characters and all these ideas started to come to me. Every song on the record includes a reference from the show, some more specific than others, but all of the themes are universal – these are feelings everyone has.”

In addition to her new album, she’s also currently working on developing the new musical adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ best-selling novel, The Notebook.
