This fun, light-hearted series is like watching your favorite romantic comedy five nights a week.”
Across the pond in the U.K., Love Island smashed records on ITV2. The series four finale brought in 3.6 million viewers, the biggest audience in channel history.
“Love Island was the most watched program in its slot across all channels and the most watched program for 16-34s, with 1.6 million 16-34 viewers,” ITV said in a statement.
For those who aren’t familiar with UK show, it brings together contestants called “islanders” and puts them all in a villa under video surveillance. They then must couple up and try to find love or friendship in order to win some money. The couple who outlasts the others will win the grand prize of £50,000 ($66,000).
