NBC announced on Saturday that America’s Got Talent: The Champions has been renewed for a second season after proving to be a hit among fans.
The spinoff series averaged a 2.2 rating in the key demo of adults 18-49 and 12.4 million viewers overall, making it the season’s No. 1 most-watched alternative series and the most-watched new series on NBC since Little Big Shots.
Despite the good ratings, the news of a renewal came as a surprise to fans and writers alike because after a season that featured 50 of the franchise’s best acts, who else do you feature?
While the nothing is set in stone, one would assume Terry Crews will return as host and Howie Mandel, Simon Cowell, Julianne Hough, and Gabrielle Union will return as judges for the seven-week run .
