Hallmark Renews Chesapeake Shores For Season Four + Greenlights Spinoff Movie

Hallmark Channel fans rejoice! It was announced at Crown Media Family Networks’ Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour on Saturday night that Chesapeake Shores is returning for a fourth season. And, as a bonus for the hardcore Chessies, the channel also announced a spin-off movie featuring the three O’Brien sisters.

Based on the novels of the same name by New York Times bestselling author Sherryl Woods, the series stars Jesse Metcalfe, Meghan Ory, Treat Williams, Diane Ladd, Barbara Niven, Laci J. Mailey, Emilie Ullerup, Brendan Penny and Andrew Francis. According to the press release announcing the renewal, season four will be 6 episodes and is expected to premiere this summer.

As for the movie spin-off, there are no details as to when it will premiere. However, we do know the plot for the movie. Here’s the full description, as per the press release: 

With the winter weather dreary in Chesapeake Shores and their own love lives in a complicated state, Abby (Ory), Bree (Ullerup) and Jess (Mailey), adventure to Rome for the wedding of a childhood friend. While in Rome, they discover the wedding plans are in complete chaos and the bride may have a case of pre-wedding jitters because she has gone missing. In an attempt to find the bride, the O’Brien sisters scour the sites of Rome and work to create a happily ever after, while ultimately realizing the romance they each deserve back home in Chesapeake Shores.
