Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. Renewed At NBC
NBC just announced that all three shows of the ‘One Chicago’ franchise have been renewed for another season. Chicago Med is currently in its fourth season, Chicago Fire is currently in its seventh season, and Chicago P.D. is currently in its sixth season.
“We remain in awe of the job Dick Wolf, our producers, casts and crews do in creating some of the most compelling television today,” Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, co-presidents of scripted programming at NBC Entertainment, said in a press release. “The ‘Chicago’ franchise is a lynchpin of our schedule and we’re thrilled that audiences have embraced our Wednesdays with such incredible passion for these shows and characters.”
NBC decided to switch things up this year and put all three shows on Wednesday nights, dubbing the new lineup “One Chicago Wednesday.” According to the press release, this lineup is “undefeated on the night in total viewers, winning 15 of 15 Wednesday nights when in originals.”
