C2E2 Is Almost Here!
Under a month left till the best convention of the year! Okay, yes, that’s only my opinion, but C2E2 is my favorite convention to attend. It has a little something for everyone, and this year will be no different!
Starting with the entertainment lineup, the headliner this year is Ant-Man himself, Paul Rudd! Joining him for a Clueless reunion are Alicia Silverstone (American Women, Batman & Robin), Breckin Meyer (Supermansion, Robot Chicken), and Donald Faison (Scrubs). Other big names in attendance include Doctor Who stars David Tennant (Jessica Jones, Good Omens), John Barrowman (Torchwood, Arrow), and Matt Smith (The Crown), Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stars Clark Gregg (The Avengers) and Ming Na Wen (Mulan, ER), Freaks and Geeks stars John Francis Daley (Bones) and Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), as well as Tyler Hoechlin (Supergirl, Teen Wolf), Summer Glau (Firefly), and Colin Donnell (Arrow, Chicago Med). And the list goes on!
The list of comic guests coming to C2E2 seems endless! Comic creators such as Chris Claremont (X-Men, Fantastic Four), George Perez (New Teen Titans, Crisis on Infinite Earths), Neal Adams (Batman, X-Men), Julie Benson (Batgirl and the Birds of Prey, Green Arrow), Eve Ewing (Ironheart, Electric Arches), Daniel Kibblesmith (Black Panther vs. Deadpool), Jason Aaron (The Mighty Thor, Star Wars), and Rob Liefeld (Deadpool, X-Force) will be in attendance. And that there are so many more!
This year C2E2 is introducing Poptaku Point, a space on the con floor specifically for Anime lovers! Specific anime vendors and events will be happening here. Plus, there will also be fun events with anime guests Cherami Leigh (Fairy Tail), Christopher Sabat (Dragon Ball Z), Sean Schemmel (Dragon Ball Z), and Robbie Daymond (Sailor Moon).
If entertainment, comics, and anime don’t do it for you, there is still more to see at C2E2! Wresting fans will recognize Kenny Omega, Marty Scurll, and The Young Bucks, who will all be in attendance. Book nerds, like myself, may recognize authors Alexandra Christo (To Kill a Kingdom), Bri Cavallaro (A Study in Charlotte), Cory Doctorow (Little Brother), Maureen Johnson (The Vanishing Star), and Tricia Levenseller (Daughter of the Pirate King). Also, the Artist Alley at C2E2 is one of the biggest I have ever seen!
