‘America’s Got Talent: The Champions’ finale recap: And the winner is…

The best act in the world has officially been crowned!

Magician Shin Lim was crowned the winner of America’s Got Talent: The Champions on Monday night, defeating ventriloquist Darci Lynn to take home the title of best act in the world.

Monday’s season finale saw the finalists give some big performances, but this time it was just for fun. The Clairvoyants returned for a mind-blowing illusion that involved judge Howie Mandel, and later Brian Justin Crum, Spain’s Got Talent winner Cristina Ramos, and Deadly Games all came together for an epic performance.

After everyone performed, host Terry Crews returned to deliver the results. After revealing Darci and Shin were the final two, he announced Lim as the winner.

The 27-year-old magician collapsed to the ground in shock as he realized he had won the talent competition for the second time in less than a month at the time of this taping. Lim won Season 13 of America’s Got Talent last summer, taking home the $1 million prize and becoming star of his own show in Las Vegas. With this second win, there is no doubt that he will get even more exposure after now beating out some of the best acts in the world.

Lynn was named the runner-up, but she gave herself a decent shot at winning a second time with last week’s opera performance with her puppet that had fans on their feet.

The end of the spin-off also marked the final show for judges Mel B and Heidi Klum, who are leaving the show after five seasons.
