‘America’s Got Talent: The Champions’ recap: Which two acts advanced to the finals in Week 4?

Week four of America’s Got Talent: The Champions saw ten more acts take to the stage for the chance to advance to the finals in just three weeks time. Past America’s Got Talent winners and world favorites gave it their all.

Did you miss it? No worries! Here’s a recap of all ten performances, as well as the results:

Issy Simpson

The little pint-sized magician from series 11 of Britain’s Got Talent opened the show and performed the exact same trick that she did during her series of Britain’s Got Talent. It was cute and adorable, yes and to American audiences, this was impressive for a 10-year-old. But as someone who has seen her do this before, I was not impressed.

The Texas Tenors

One of my favorite acts from America’s Got Talent returned to the stage on Monday and delivered an epic performance. The trio from season four sang the Righteous Brothers’ “Unchained Melody” and were even better than I remember them being 10 years ago.

Drew Lynch

The stand-up comic from Season 10 of America’s Got Talent was up next. He pulled out all the funny cards to win a place in the finals. But I felt, and the judges agreed, that his routine was “too short” and it honestly was not the best he could have done.

Paul Zerdin

The winner of America’s Got Talent Season 10 pulled off something rarely seen by a ventriloquist: doing two voices at once with his puppet, Sam. Although I loved Paul in his season, and still do to this day, I felt he could have done so much more than what he did.

Moonlight Brothers

The winners of Denmark’s Got Talent took to the stage and performed a funny, high energy routine. But it honestly was nothing too special. It was more “meh” than “WOW!”

Tape Face

The unique and weird act from season 11 is someone I truly understood the hype for before he returned on Monday. He turned judge Howie Mandel into a DJ and host Terry Crews into a stripper, even giving him the (fake) golden buzzer. Thankfully, Simon didn’t press the real golden buzzer for this act.

Kechi Okwuchi

After a few dull acts, the America’s Got Talent Season 12 finalist woke up the audience with her rendition of Calum Scott’s “You Are the Reason.” Simon faked her out by saying he didn’t like it before sending her straight into the finals with the golden buzzer.

The Professional Regurgitator

One of my personal favorite acts from seasons past graced the stage and delivered some disgusting but unique tricks. Simon was left unimpressed and gave him an X as he swallowed a razor blade and tomato. Not the best time to do that, Mr. Cowell.

Brian Justin Crum

The inspirational singer came back just two years after reaching the finals in America’s Got Talent season 11. He performed one of the most emotional and dramatic renditions of Elton John’s “Your Song”. He showed how much he improved over the last two years and earned the biggest reaction of the night from the audience.

Kenichi Eniba

The show ended on a whimper as the America’s Got Talent season 8 winner came back and performed some of the same stuff we’ve seen from the past. It was cool and really fun, but it was nothing too special.

The Results

After all 10 acts performed, Terry returned with the results. He revealed Brian, Paul, and shockingly BOTH Tape Face and Drew advanced to the top three. Tape Face and Drew finished third, leaving Brian and Paul in the top two. It was then revealed Brian advanced to the finals with Kechi.
