Papa Winchester Returning for Supernatural’s 300th Episode

Jeffrey Dean Morgan may have swapped Baby for a bat but the beloved John Winchester is finally returning home for Supernatural‘s 300th episode. Dean and Sam’s dad was last seen in 2008’s season 2 finale,  “All Hell Breaks Loose: Part 2,” when his ghost helped the boys defeat the yellow-eyed demon that killed their mother.

According to TVLine, the much-anticipated episode is entitled “Lebanon” and will air Feb. 7th. “Lebanon” likely refers to Lebanon, KS, where the boys currently live in the Men of Letters bunker.

For years, Morgan has talked about his desire to return to the show, but it wasn’t until he attended his first Supernatural convention at 2015’s VegasCon that fans began to believe it might actually happen. Some 3+ years later, they’ll finally get their wish.

Executive producer Andrew Dabb said, “We’re incredibly excited to have Jeffrey back for this milestone episode, and think fans will love what we have planned for his character… and a few other surprise guest stars.”

Mmmm… more surprises! This is going to be one can’t miss episode.

Supernatural airs Thursdays at 8/7 C on The CW
