Huluween! Now Screaming The Best Halloween TV, Movies & Original Series

From TV to film, light-hearted to terrifying, Hulu’s got your back for Halloween.

Viewers can even customize their viewing experience. When you add your favorite scary movies and TV shows to ‘My Stuff’ the Huluween hub will give you personalized recommendations.

Additionally, the streaming service is also holding its first-ever Huluween Film Fest. Eight up-and-coming filmmakers will be able to showcase their horror-themed short films – “The Gillymuck,” “The Box,” “Horrifying Sounds,” “The Hug,” “Carved,” “Urn,” “Lippy” and “The Rizzle.”

“…the filmmaker with the highest levels of viewer engagement and the highest scores from a panel of expert judges, including Bloody Disgusting co-founder and editor Brad Miska, will win $10,000 towards production of their feature-length film. To view all of the Huluween short films, visit www.youtube.com/hulu.” And be sure to show your fave some love!

You’ll also find two new original series. This Friday, in conjunction with Blumhouse Television, Hulu will premiere the first installment of Into The Dark. This horror anthology will be a year-round event that tackles one holiday for each month of the year.  Episodes will air on the first Friday of every month.

The first installment, “The Body,” is based on a short film of the same name and “follows a sophisticated hitman with a cynical view on modern society that finds his work made more difficult when he has to transport a body on Halloween night, but everyone is enamored by what they think is his killer costume.”

November’s episode, “Flesh and Blood,” takes place on Thanksgiving eve and, based on the title, makes me concerned about what they’ll be consuming the next day.

Last, but definitely not least, remember that childhood game “Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board?” Well, on October 12, a 10-episode series called simply Light as a Feather will debut. Lucky for me the worst thing that happened when I played was that we lifted a teen girl to the ceiling before accidentally dropping her! The girls here aren’t so fortunate. When these five play they start dying off “in the exact way that was predicted, forcing the survivors to figure out why they’re being targeted – and whether the evil force hunting them down is one of their own.” Hmm, I’m thinking they play differently than we do here in the mid-west….

Ready, set, Huluween!

P.S. – If you aren’t a Hulu subscriber, you can try the service for free for one month. This just might be the month to do it!
