Top Movie Trailers from San Diego Comic Con 2018

Aquaman

Jason Momoa graced the Comic-Con stage during 2017 while filming Aquaman, but they didn’t have any footage to show aside from the sneak peek at Arthur Curry (Aquaman’s real name) that we got during Justice League. This year Warner Brothers brought two exciting trailers, one released and one exclusive to Hall H attendees, that gives us a real look at Arthur.

Halloween

Jamie Lee Curtis is back and better than ever. Decades after the events of the first Halloween, Laurie has been preparing for the inevitable return of Michael Myers. This year, the iconic king of horror has returned for one last Rated R ride.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters

Even though we are a little less than a year away from the premiere of the newest Godzilla movie, the cast still had a trailer to share with us. The trailer reveals plenty of monsters, while the director kept others secret. I can’t wait to see them in action.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

Warner Brothers is always one of the highlights of Saturday in Hall H. This year they really stepped up their game and handed out light-up wristbands that were controlled remotely and made for a pretty sight in Hall H.

The new trailer revealed that we will be traveling back to Hogwarts for the newest round of adventures.

Glass

Glass is the M. Night Shyamalan project we’ve all been waiting for. Part of the Unbreakable trilogy it brings together the characters from Unbreakable and Split. James McAvoy seems absolutely terrifying and I couldn’t be more excited for January 2019.

Venom

This movie is one SpiderMan fans have been wanting for a very long time. Tom Hardy, no stranger to the cinematic world of superheroes, stars as antihero Eddie Brock in Venom. In Hall H it was almost impossible to hear what Venom was saying, but the released trailer is a bit more clear. Hopefully, they fine-tune things for the theatrical release.

Shazam

Zachary Levi has proved once again that Comic-Con is his territory. After managing the crowd with a fun and engaging panel, he showed the first trailer for Shazam. I hope this film fills the comedy void Suicide Squad attempted to fill in 2016. Warner Brothers is great at making exciting trailers. Hopefully, this is the movie that finally turns the DC Universe around.
