“Mary Kay Letourneau: Autobiography” to Air on A&E Networks

Mary Kay Letourneau was a household name in 1997 for all the wrong reasons. The Seattle schoolteacher, wife and mother shocked the nation when she fell in love with her sixth-grade student Vili Fualaau, then just 13 years old. On Tuesday, May 29th at 8pm ET/PT, A&E Network will premiere a two-hour documentary following Vili and Mary as they recount the early days of their relationship and decisions that changed both of their lives forever.

Mary Kay Letourneau: Autobiography is the most in-depth telling to date of the relationship that tore apart Mary’s family and eventually led to her spending more than seven years in prison where she gave birth to the couple’s first child. Now, on the other side, Mary shares never-before-heard details and tells her side of their forbidden love story that was a media sensation throughout most of the 2000s. Interviews with Mary’s lawyers, friends, and a fellow prison inmate give us an intimate look into one of the most intriguing stories of the last two decades.

Mary Kay Letourneau: Autobiography is produced by Asylum Entertainment in association with Marwar Junction Productions and will air Tuesday, May 29th at 8pm ET/PT on the A&E Network.
