Beyond the Sun just released their newest track “STOP,” which is sure to be a head-bobbing summer anthem.
“STOP is a letter to all the fake people in your life,” lead vocalist Colin Radu said in the press release announcing the single. “We were at this point in our lives that, for whatever reason, we were reconnecting with people we have nothing in common with anymore and forcing friendships. Just because you’re still ‘connected’ on Facebook or Instagram doesn’t mean you care about each other anymore.”
The trio of brothers hailing from Canada have dubbed the genre of music they create as “shuffle”, since the songs blend and cross over multiple styles of music. “STOP” definitely gives me some country, pop and even a little EDM vibes. The band has said that the single is a musical fusion of inspirations like Michael Jackson, Bleachers and mansionz.
Regardless of which style of music you classify it as, “STOP” is wildly addictive. I’ve been listening to it on repeat since it came out and I know that trend is going to continue through the summer.
