“Sister, Sister” Revival is Happening According to Jackée Harry

Sister, Sister is the latest show being revived according to one of the show’s stars, Jackée Harry.
In a recent appearance on Steve Harvey, Harry, who played Tia’s mom, Lisa Landry, made fans of the show, including myself, very happy when she revealed that a reboot is in the works.
“Yeah, it’s happening!” a smiling Harry confirmed when asked about the ongoing rumors. “I’m excited. Tia and Tamera [Mowry] … my babies, too,” she continued. “They won’t leave me alone. I can’t get rid of none of these women!”
I’m not crying y’all, you’re crying. Just kidding, I’m totally crying tears of joy right now.
News of the reboot began when Tia told Nylon in May 2017 about her and her sister trying to get a network to revive the series. “We’re looking, right now, for a producer and a writer, someone who can kind of be a leader of the pack in regards to running the show,” she said. “I thought people would kind of be jumping on it, but it’s a lot harder than my sister and I thought it would be. Everything in my career has always been a challenge.”
Back in October 2017, Tia confirmed the future reboot would include both Harry and Tim Reid, who played Tamera’s dad, Ray Campell. But if this is actually happening, I also need the reboot to include Marques Houston, who played the twins’ friend and neighbor Roger, RonReaco Lee, who played Tia’s boyfriend, Tyreke, in the later seasons, and Deon Richmond, who played Tamera’s boyfriend, Jordan, in the later seasons. Tia/Tyreke and Tamera/Jordan were two of my very first ships as a kid (before I even knew what shipping was) and no Sister, Sister reboot could happen without the classic phrase, “Go home, Roger” being said at least once.
While ABC, the network that originally aired the show and would presumably be the network first in line to air the reboot, has not confirmed any of this, I’m just going to believe what Harry said is true and start dreaming up what I hope will happen in the revival.
