Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger Preview & Debut Date

Cloak & Dagger comic

Marvel introduces a new property, this time on Freeform. Olivia Holt stars as Tandy Bowen and Aubrey Joseph plays her romantic counterpart, Tyrone Johnson. These two teens come from very different backgrounds, but find commonality when they both wake-up to newly acquired superpowers. Their powers are both exciting and burdensome, while also being mysteriously linked to each other. Like the duality of Yin-Yang, Tandy emits light daggers, while Tyrone can plunge others in darkness. Although they quickly learn they’re better together, their feelings for one another complicate things and being thrust into this new world is already difficult enough.

Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger also stars Andrea Roth, Gloria Reuben, Miles Mussenden, Carl Lundstedt, Emma Lahana, Jaime Zevallos, and J.D. Evermore.

The series will debut Thursday, June 7 (8:00 – 10:00 p.m. EDT/PDT) and is co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios. Joe Pokaski (“Underground,” “Heroes”) serves as showrunner and executive producer; Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s The Punisher,” “Marvel’s The Defenders”), Marvel’s head of Television, and Jim Chory (“Marvel’s The Punisher,” “Marvel’s The Defenders”) also serve as executive producers. Gina Prince-Bythewood (“Love & Basketball”) directed the first episode.
