The cast (Luke Evans and Rebecca Hall) and director/creator (Angela Robinson) of the newly released Professor Marston and the Wonder Women took New York Comic-Con by storm last Sunday. The movie follows the story of Harvard psychologist Dr. William Moulton Marston who created the now classic Wonder Woman comic-book series. As the story unfolds, we discover that Wonder Woman was inspired by not one but two spectacular, empowered women in Marston’s life: his wife, Elizabeth Marston (Hall), and their lover, Olive Byrne (Bella Heathcote). Tackling topics like polyamory with honesty and care, critics are already raving about Professor Marston and the Wonder Women.
Evans, Hall, and Robinson attended a panel promoting the movie at Hammerstein Ballroom last Sunday where they debuted the movie’s official NYCC trailer. TalkNerdy was able to speak with the panelists beforehand about getting into character, the extraordinary circumstances of everyday people, and the wholesome domesticity of the main triad.
