Marshall Allman (AMC’s Humans, HBO’s True Blood and Fox’s Prison Break) recently released his new short film Make Like a Dog, starring Jamie Anne Allman [AMC’s “The Killing,” “Preacher”] and Mark Kelly [“The Walking Dead,” “Mad Men”]. The short is a farce set in 1963 about a couple willing to try anything to overcome infertility and pull their relationship out of the dog house.
Clever, funny and altogether honest, this short film served as a creative jumping-off point for Marshall. While making it, he became inspired to turn the short into a 5-part series entitled Marriage. (In Short) with each part featuring the same actors playing different couples in various decades and dealing with different socio-political issues within the marriages. The series will take a more detailed look underneath the fabric of the marriages after the honeymoon phase, while facing the infinitely complex and intricate nature of marriage. To get this new project off the ground, Marshall launched a Kickstarter, which can be accessed using the following link: http://marriageinshort.com/
