This January, CURSE WORDS Casts a New Spell

From the creative talents of writer Charles Soule and artist Ryan Browne comes a new series from Image Comics, CURSE WORDS.
One magical day in New York, a wizard comes with claims that he’s here to save us from “dark magical forces” hellbent on our destruction. Everyone one loves Wizord, but what they don’t know is that he’s on the run from a dark past filled with a darker evil, and that evil is headed this way.
CURSE WORDS is a gonzo modern fantasy, full of shadows, light … and magic.
Of CURSE WORDS Soule says,“Ryan Browne and I wanted to create a series where literally anything could happen, and giving the story a magical framework lets us do that. CURSE WORDS constantly surprises me with what happens next, and I’m writing the thing.”
And it’s not unusual I suppose, to find yourself surprised to be writing about a talking koala.
Soule and Browne can’t stop gushing about each other, and they’re both clearly passionate about the series, which has been described as “Lord of the Rings meets Breaking Bad.”
CURSE WORDS #1, with two different covers (art for Cover A by Browne and Cover B by Skottie Young), hits stores January 18th, 2017.
