JLA Is Back, Jack!

That’s right, the Justice League of America is back in a new DC Universe: Rebirth series!

Beginning in January 2017, JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA will be hitting the shelves twice a month, starting with four DC Universe: Rebirth one-shot comics. Each one-shot focuses on a different member of the new JLA:

JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA: THE ATOM #1, written by Steve Orlando (artist to be announced), brings us Ryan Choi, a “prodigious theoretical physics student, hyper-allergic, and crippling social anxiety sufferer.” He doesn’t know it, but his first day of university life is going to change his life forever! This issue goes on sale January 4, 2017.

JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA: VIXEN #1 is written by Steve Orlando and Jody Houser with art by Jamal Campbell. Mari McCabe is a strong, successful woman, with her hands in fashion and social justice, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have time to save the world every now and then. This one-shot, which goes on sale January 11, takes us through Mari’s journey to becoming Vixen.

JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA: THE RAY #1, written by Steve Orlando with art by Stephen Byrne, follows Ray Terrill through a horrific childhood of being locked up and told that “his medical condition could be fatal to himself and anyone he meets.” Not exactly the most encouraging of upbringings…can Ray overcome his past to save our future? On sale January 18.

JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA: KILLER FROST #1, written by Steve Orlando and Jody Houser with art by Mirka Andolfo, sees Killer Frost finally on parole from the Suicide Squad–but Amanda Waller still holds some power over her, and “isn’t going to make it easy for Frost to take her place on the new JLA.” This issue will be on sale January 18 as well.

These four aren’t the only members of the new JLA; DC will be revealing more as JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA hits stores in February, following the JUSTICE LEAGUE VS SUICIDE SQUAD crossover.
