HBO Offers Early Streaming of Their Weekend Premieres

It is autumn, and there is a distinct chill in the air. TV lovers know that means one thing…NEW SHOWS!!!  HBO is offering advanced viewing of the new HBO comedy series Divorce and Insecure, as well as the second episode of the new drama series Westworld.  These special advance premieres of Sunday night’s episodes are all available right now via HBO NOW and HBO GO, along with HBO On Demand and affiliate portals especially for those viewers who can’t wait until this weekend.
 

Westworld, Episode #2: “Chestnut.”

Written by Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy; directed by Richard J. Lewis the episode finds a pair of guests, first-timer William (Jimmi Simpson) and repeat visitor Logan (Ben Barnes), arriving at Westworld with different expectations and agendas. Meanwhile, Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) and Quality Assurance head Theresa Cullen (Sidse Babett Knudsen) debate whether a recent host anomaly is contagious. Elsewhere in Westworld, behavior engineer Elsie Hughes (Shannon Woodward) tweaks the emotions of Maeve (Thandie Newton), a madam in Sweetwater’s brothel, in order to avoid a costly recall; while Cocky programmer Lee Sizemore (Simon Quarterman) pitches his latest narrative to the team. The Man in Black (Ed Harris) conscripts a condemned man, Lawrence (Clifton Collins, Jr.), to assist him in uncovering Westworld’s deepest secrets.

 

Divorce, Episode #1: “Pilot.”

Frances (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Robert (Thomas Haden Church) — a middle-aged couple in the suburbs of New York City — try to figure out if their marriage is worth saving after they attend Diane’s (Molly Shannon) 50th birthday party where they experience a shocking event which forces them take a hard look at their own lives. Written by Sharon Horgan; directed by Jesse Peretz.
 

Insecure, Episode #1: “Insecure as F**k.”

In the wake of her 29th birthday, Issa Dee (Issa Rae) reconsiders her dead-end relationship with Lawrence (Jay Ellis), her live-in boyfriend. Meanwhile, Issa’s best friend, Molly (Yvonne Orji), mourns her singledom and the state of her “lady parts.” Later, Issa uses an open-mic night as an excuse to reconnect with an ex. Written by Issa Rae & Larry Wilmore; directed by Melina Matsoukas.
