For fans of any TV show, waiting a full week for the next episode is torturous. But for Freeform’s new series “Beyond,” this won’t be a problem.

In a network first, the entire first season of the show will be available to binge online when the series premieres on January 2. Simultaneous with the two-hour premiere, all ten episodes will be available on the Freeform app,, On Demand and Hulu. The announcement came during the New York Comic-Con panel for the show.

According to the network, this idea will eventually be implemented for future shows.

“The premiere of ‘Beyond’ marks an important milestone in the history of Freeform, nearly a year since our rebrand,” said Tom Ascheim, president, Freeform. “One of the promises we made to our audience at the time was to create content they love and to make that content easily accessible. ‘Beyond’ helps us live up to both promises. In the same way, we modernized our brand; we are modernizing how we bring our shows to our audience. ‘Beyond’ is our first, and definitely not our last,‘binge-from-the-start’ show.”

“Beyond” is a one-hour drama about Holden (Burkely Duffield), a young man who wakes up from a coma after 12 years and discovers he has supernatural abilities. As a result, he is now at the center of a dangerous conspiracy. Now Holden must try and figure out what happened to him during those 12 years, how to survive a world that changed while he was gone, and answer the question: why did this happen to him?

Jacky Lai will play Riley, a party-girl who will help Holden navigate his new life. For more details on the show and her character, check out our interview here.
