Induce stitch neuro-sync, season three of Stitchers, is a go. Freeform announced the news that the sci-fi series was renewed Thursday afternoon via Facebook Live.
According to the network, fans of the show mostly have themselves to thank for its renewal. Karey Burke, Executive Vice President of Programming and development, said in a statement, “’Stitchers’ passionate fanbase has been vocal about wanting to see more of this show, and we listened.” She continued on the show’s performance thus far, adding, “’Stitchers’ has proven itself a consistently strong performer, and we’re proud of the fact that it celebrates #smartgirls everywhere.”
Jeffrey A. Schechter, the show’s Executive Producer, echoed Burke’s credit to the fans.
Season 3 is directly because of our amazing fans. Thanks to all of you for sticking with us! And thanks to @FreeformTV for being awesome!

Now, with a season three confirmed, Schechter is already looking ahead, joking with fans on Twitter about their next campaign.

Other members of the cast voiced their excitement on Twitter, including Ritesh Rajan, Kyle Harris, and Allison Scagliotti. As Camille, Scagliotti plays perhaps the sassiest character on Stitchers (excluding Tim, the Engineering man). True to her character, Scagliotti posted a short, sweet and sarcastic response to the news.

Among adults 18-49, a group within its target audience, Stitchers is Freeform’s No. 2 new series of the past two seasons behind only Shadowhunters and is the network’s No. 3 original series across digital platforms behind only Pretty Little Liars and Shadowhunters.
The premiere date of season three has not yet been announced, but now that we know it’s happening for sure, the waiting might become a bit easier.
