A Day at Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic-Con

This weekend brought in the recently renamed Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic-Con (Previously Comikaze Expo).

The events took place at the LA Convention Center in downtown LA, and once you got past the traffic and parking fees ($55, I’m not exaggerating), the events inside were well worth it.

This event falling on Halloween Weekend only heightened all of the cosplays, never before have I seen such a plethora of people dressed up, and I’ve been attending San Diego Comic-Con for three years now.

The con was jam packed with hundreds of exhibitors and panels all day, even autograph sessions from The Flash stars Candice Patton and Danielle Panabaker.

It was nice for me to be able to go through the exhibit hall calmly and to sit in on panels that were more than just TV shows. I sat in on one in particular that was about marketing yourself and your writing for the industry. But that wasn’t the only good panel; there was also panels about cosplay, a small preview of Richard Speight Jr. and Rob Benedict’s (Supernatural) new show Kings of Con and a panel on Stranger Things featuring Shannon Purser (Barb).

This event was HUGE, and I think in a few years it might reach numbers similar to  San Diego Comic-Con, I would definitely recommend snatching a ticket to it before it gets to that point, it seemed as though everyone who wanted a ticket to this had a good chance of getting it.
