After much anticipation, NBC has finally announced a premiere date for its alternative comedy series “Better Late Than Never,” which follows five celebrated men across genres on an epic adventure throughout Asia. Debuting on August 23, the show will follow award-winning actor, producer, writer and director Henry Winkler, Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor, director and writer William Shatner, celebrated football legend and NFL analyst Terry Bradshaw, boxing Hall of Famer and gold medal winner turned businessman, George Foreman and comedian, Jeff Dye as they embark on an epic international excursion without any of the typical Hollywood comforts.

The one-hour series, adapted from the popular show “Grandpa Over Flowers,” which currently airs in both China and South Korea, will feature the five traveling to Tokyo, Kyoto, Seoul, Hong Kong, Phuket and Chiang Mai, where they will have to communicate with the local population, immerse themselves in local traditions and enjoy exotic foods, before heading home. In the process, they will have to rely on each other for support and encouragement, demonstrating the true treasures of friendship.

Produced by Universal Television in association with Storyline Entertainment, Small World IFT and CJ E&M, this has the potential to be both a ground-breaking and memorable endeavor–one which any savvy television-lover will be sure to watch–so don’t miss it!
