CW Announces Premiere Dates for “My Last Days,” A Groundbreaking Three-Part Docu-Series

On August 17th, 18th and 19th (9:00-10:00 pm ET/PT), the CW will air an inspirational three-part documentary series dedicated to showcasing the courageous people facing one of life’s most difficult challenges: a terminal illness. Created and hosted by Jane the Virgin star Justin Baldoni, My Last Days features the compelling stories of six real-life superheroes, who remind us that having a limited amount of time doesn’t mean that we can’t have a positive impact on the world. Baldoni describes the venture as “an uplifting look at what happens when we detach ourselves from material things and live in the moment. I’m proud to share these stories that remind people that each and every one of us has the power to choose happiness and to make a difference regardless of the hand that we’ve been dealt.”

Aside for Baldoni, the people involved in the film include a 19-year-old with cystic fibrosis, who not only founded Claire’s Place Foundation, Inc., a non-profit providing support to the children and families affected by cystic fibrosis but is also a best-selling author and a TEDx speaker; a young man battling leukemia for the last 14 years who has still managed to complete more than 50 Tough Mudder competitions as well as 37 half-marathons; a 25 year-old self-described proud lesbian from Las Vegas, Nev., who has a rare form of stomach cancer; an aspiring sociologist born with a very rare medical condition named Mucopolysaccharidosis VI (MPS VI); a gospel singer with a rare form of sleep apnea who has been given approximately three more years to live; and, a thirty-five year old who has been diagnosed with brain cancer.

Extended episodes of My Last Days will be available on The CW’s new digital vertical dedicated to giving back, CWGOOD. Created in partnership with Wayfarer Entertainment, CWGOOD highlights the causes that CW stars and fans care about, with content that will both entertain and inspire. CWGOOD will launch in August in conjunction with the premiere of My Last Days on The CW Network.

Make sure you tune into the CW for the premiere on Wednesday, August 17th at 9:00 pm ET/PT for the kick-off of this impressive special event. You can watch a trailer for the three-part series below.
