NYC Duo Remixes Justin Bieber’s “Company”
After the successful release of their “55” LP, The Knocks, a retro-future disco funk duo out of NYC, carved out some time to record a remix of Justin Bieber’s new single “Company.” Along with the remix, the duo announced a pair of shows in support of Bieber, taking place May 13th and 14th (in Ottawa and Quebec, respectively).

Their new album “55” is a star-studded, DIY electronic album, featuring vocal contributions from Alex Newell, Cam’ron, Carly Rae Jepsen, Fetty Wap, Justin Tranter, Magic Man, Matthew Koma, Phoebe Ryan, POWERS, Walk The Moon, Wyclef Jean, and X Ambassadors.
Rolling Stone described the album as “a multi-headed celebration that gathers singers from all over the musical map and lets them take star turns over group’s feisty, banging beats,” while SPIN described it as “a very specific, warm, and essential part of the past made modern.”
The Knocks began their journey at age 19, when they met in a studio while attending the New School. In 2008, JPatt and B-Roc opened the HeavyRoc studio, in the same building where the Beastie Boys used to rehearse. Since then, the duo has put out original material and remixes for music icons including Katy Perry, Passion Pit, Ellie Goulding and Icona Pop.
