Kickstarter Campaign Launches for Axis by Aisha Tyler
Aisha Tyler is a talented actor whose face is probably very familiar. She has appeared in Whose Line is it Anyway?, Criminal Minds, The Talk, Girl on Guy, Friends, 24, CSI and The Ghost Whisperer. Aisha loves working, but this girl really LOVES movies!
The coolest thing about her love of movies is that she loves the same movies we love, not some fancy-pants, artsy-fartsy films that you don’t understand; no… Aisha loves Star Wars, The Bourne Trilogy, and other action movies. In fact, Aisha loves movies so much, that she has set her sights on and turned her talent to making movies!
Over the past few years, she has directed six short subjects. Not only did she direct, she operated her own camera and did her own editing, this powerhouse did it ALL BY HERSELF so that she could have complete creative independence. She REALLY loves to work…. Now, however, she is ready to take her experience and make a feature film… this is where she needs our help. Axis is a unique, edgy thriller that takes place entirely in a car.

AXIS is a movie about a guy trying to turn his life around. If you listen to my podcast Girl on Guy, you know how deeply I believe in the transformative power of failure, and how I encourage people to never stop pursuing their dreams.
The lead character in AXIS — Tristan Blake — has done just that. A successful actor who nearly destroyed his life through punishing addiction, he has gotten sober, salvaged his relationship and career, mended his connections with family, and is trying with all his might to reclaim his life.
The cast includes Aisha Tyler, who will play Louise as well as direct, Emmett Hughes who is the screenwriter and also plays Tristan Blake and along for the ride are Emily Bett Rickards (ARROW), Jerry Ferrara (ENTOURAGE), Amber Nash (ARCHER), Paula Malcomson (RAY DONOVAN), Ted McGinley (MARRIED WITH CHILDREN), Jonathan Sadowski (LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD), Jean-Luc Bilodeau (BABY DADDY) and more.
