Motion City Soundtrack Announce Farewell Tour
After 18 years of jamming, Motion City Soundtrack is saying goodbye. To commemorate their time and effort in the music industry, the group has announced a two-part farewell tour that will feature supporting acts Microwave and The Spill Canvas during the first portion; Have Mercy and Light Years will tour with MCS during the second half. Additionally, former MCS drummer Tony Thaxton is returning to play the remainder of the shows this year. The band sends their appreciation and gratitude to drummer Claudio Rivera for offering his talent and friendship these past few years.
The first part of the So Long, Farewell Tour will begin on May 5th in Portland, Oregon. The second, on June 2nd in Omaha, Nebraska. Tickets for the entire tour will be available for purchase this Friday, March 18th, at 10 am local time. VIP tickets went on sale at 10 am this morning and are available for purchase, except for MPLS and New Jersey, which have both sold out. The full list of tour dates can be found below.
