MCM Jon Bernthal

Jon Bernthal has been acting since 2002, but it wasn’t until he was cast as Shane Walsh on The Walking Dead that he really hit it big. If you’ve been keeping up with TWD, then you’ll know Rick has now become what Shane was in season 2. Jon played the part of psycho ex-lover so well, you almost wanted to root for him. Almost.

Since his run on as Shane ended in 2012, Jon has gone on to have supporting roles in blockbuster movies such as Fury with Brad Pitt, The Wolf of Wall Street with Leonardo DiCaprio, and Sicario with Emily Blunt.

If you’re a Marvel fan then you’ll know Daredevil dropped on Netflix this past Friday. Yours truly finished yesterday. Jon was cast as the Punisher (aka Frank Castle) and I’m delighted to say he delivered. You want to sympathize with the man even when he’s killing all the time (not a spoiler since he’s been doing it for ages in the comics and two movies). Watching his performance made me want to rewatch TWD. Basically if Shane had lived, he would have become the Punisher. So I guess we can expect that from Rick?? (kidding, this is just me fangirling)
