The Ready Set Signs to Hopeless Records, Announces New Album

You’ve probably already heard the good news (or not, I don’t know your life), but Hopeless Records is proud to announce that The Ready Set signed to their label. And with the signing came a new music video for The Ready Set’s new single “Good Enough,” released via Hopeless Records’ YouTube channel. “Good Enough” is the first single from The Ready Set’s upcoming album I Will be Nothing Without Your Love. The album has an expected release date of April 8th, 2016.

If you’re like me, and you act like the Top 40 stations repulse you around your friends, but secretly, you have a guilty pleasure of dancing in your underwear to songs like “Worth It” by Fifth Harmony. Now, even though I’ve never removed any clothing while dancing to The Ready Set, I can’t deny that I listened to his songs when I was younger. We all remember “Love Like Woe” (cue flashback: For me, it was turning on the radio after school, and singing along in my kitchen while doing homework). This track made it to #3 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart, and Jordan Witzigreuter, the man behind The Ready Set, became a national sensation. “Love Like Woe” was the debut single from the performer’s first LP I’m Alive, I’m Dreaming. Since then, The Ready Set, has released two more albums, Feel Good Now in 2011, featuring “Young Forever,” and 2014’s The Bad & The Better. The latter album climbed to #75 on Billboard’s 200.

Now Jordan will be releasing his fourth album through Hopeless Records, a label well-known for signing bands including All Time Low, Milk Teeth, Have Mercy, Neck Deep, and We are the in Crowd. I Will Be Nothing Without Your Love is described as being a blend of pop and tropical backbeats, a vastly different sound from the bands listed prior. However, the LP is believed to be some of the most substantial work The Ready Set has put forth yet, probably credited to a combination of Jordan’s talented lyricism, and his producing the entire album. As a result, I Will Be Nothing Without Your Love is wholly his own invention and sound. The premiere single from the album is available as a free instant download when fans pre-order I Will Be Nothing Without Your Love via iTunes. To pre-order the record, click here.
