Rise Up! Hamilton Takes The 58th GRAMMYs

When our children tell our story, they’ll tell the story of tonight. Specifically, the story of the 58th Grammys awards ceremony. The opening number from Hamilton, the musical that has taken over the world, will be broadcast live via satellite. While the cast is performing in front of a live audience in Richard Rogers theater, everyone that hasn’t been lucky enough to score tickets to the show will get a sneak peek as to what goes on in The Room Where it Happens.
In the past, musical theater productions have performed at the ceremony, but this is the first time that the show will be live linked from the theater in New York instead of on stage in Los Angeles. The 58th ceremony will also feature another first. The ceremony will air live nationwide this year, which means there is no tape delay for the Pacific and Mountain time zones.
The cast of the hit Broadway show joins an immensely talented slate of performers that have already been announced for the night. Adele, Justin Bieber, Diplo, Skrillex, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Pitbull, Little Big Town, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Chris Stapleton, Gary Clark Jr., Bonnie Raitt, Travis Barker, Robin Thicke, James Bay, Andra Day, Ellie Goulding, Sam Hunt, Tori Kelly, Little Big Town, Carrie Underwood, and The Hollywood Vampires (Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, and Joe Perry).
LL Cool J hosts the 58th Grammys ceremony on CBS at 8pm EST on Monday, February 15th.
