Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart Ratings Hit For Lifetime in Key Demographics

Based on Toni Braxton’s memoir “Unbreak My Heart”, Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart follows the singer’s story from her discovery by L.A. Reid and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, her battle with Lupus as well as her public divorce, her son’s autism and many other family difficulties. Braxton also served as Executive Producer.

At 10:00pm, after the movie concluded, Lifetime aired Beyond the Headlines: Toni Braxton, a special with interviews with Toni and her family, L.A. Reid, Babyface, record producer David Foster and songwriter Diane Warren.  This special highlighted Braxton’s childhood years, meteoric rise to fame, struggles with health, financial and ultimate triumph over adversity. This special earned 2.8 million total viewers, 1.4 million viewers adults 25-54, 1.3 million viewers adults 18-49, 1.1 million viewers women 25-54 and 1.0 million viewers women 18-49 viewers.

Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart  received a lot of attention on social media Saturday with 18% share of all Twitter TV activity. It was the most tweeted movie for the television season to date. While Beyond the Headlines: Toni Braxton  was the second most-tweeted show in prime time according to Nielsen.
