M83 Announces 2016 Tour Dates
M83, aka Anthony Gonzalez, has announced an initial series of North American tour dates, including special performances at the renowned Coachella festival in Indio, CA and The Governor’s Ball in NYC. The initial list of tour dates is listed below. Tickets will be available for pre-sale from January 13th via ilovem83.com, with the general on-sale date commencing Friday, January 15th.
M83 are a French electronic music band led by Anthony Gonzalez and currently based in Los Angeles, California. Formed in 2001 in Antibes, France, the band initially was a duo featuring Nicolas Fromageau. The line-up has since changed and M83 have released six albums and two soundtracks, including the Grammy Award-nominated Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming which was released in 2011, since their inception.
Following the success of critically the acclaimed album Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming, which features the platinum selling single “Midnight City,” M83 is gearing up to release another epic full-length record. Anthony describes his forthcoming album as “more fun and fresh” with “a lot of eclecticism,” promising plenty of “unexpected guests.” Details to be announced soon.
