images (3)It’s that time of the year again. The Golden Globe Awards are airing tomorrow!

Let’s take a look at the nominees and try to predict the winners:

Best Television Series -Drama

Nominees: Outlander, Mr. Robot, Narcos, Game of Thrones, Empire

Predicted Winner: Game of Thrones

Why: Game of Thrones won this at the Emmy’s, plus season 5 was phenomenal!

Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series- Drama

Nominees:  Viola Davis, How To Get Away With Murder, Taraji P. Henson, Empire, Caitriona Balfe, Outlander, Robin Wright, House of Cards and Eva Green, Penny Dreadful

Predicted Winner: Viola Davis

Why: As Annalise Keating on How To Get Away With Murder, Viola Davis has given bone chilling performances. Additionally, she took home the Emmy for Best Actress in a Television Drama. It would be a crime for her not to win.

Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series- Drama

Nominees: Rami Malek, Mr. Robot, Wagner Moura, Narcos, Jon Hamm, Mad Men, Liev Schriber, Ray Donovan and Bob Odenkirk, Better Call Saul

Predicted Winner: Jon Hamm

Why: As Don Draper on Mad Men, Jon Hamm created a memorable television character. He has already won the Golden Globe for his portrayal and recently took home the Emmy.  Since this is the last time Hamm will be nominated for Mad Men, a win would be a fitting way to bid the character adieu.

Best Television Series -Musical or Comedy

Nominees: Casual, Mozart In The Jungle, Orange Is the New Black, Silicon Valley, Transparent, Veep

Predicted Winner: Transparent

Why: I believe last year’s winner, Transparent should take home the award again this year.  Like fine wine, the show is only getting better with age.  This show offers television at its best and puts the ‘Golden’ in Golden Globes.

Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series- Musical or Comedy

Nominees: Gina Rodriguez, Jane the Virgin, Rachel Bloom, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Jamie Lee Curtis, Scream Queens, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Veep and Lily Tomlin, Grace and Frankie

Predicted Winner: Gina Rodriguez

Why: Gina Rodriguez continues to prove she’s award worthy by giving stellar performances as Jane in Jane the Virgin.

Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series- Musical or Comedy

Nominees: Jeffrey Tambor, Transparent, Rob Lowe, The Grinder, Aziz Ansari, Master of None, Gael García Bernal, Mozart In The Jungle, Patrick Stewart, Blunt Talk

Predicted Winner: Jeffrey Tambor

Why: With my predicted series win for Transparent, I also think Jeffrey Tambor’s performance will be recognized as well.

Best Television Limited Series or Motion Picture Made For Television

Nominees:  Fargo, Flesh and Bone, American Crime, American Horror Story: Hotel and Wolf Hall

Predicted Winner: (Toss-Up between Fargo and American Horror Story: Hotel)

Why: Tough one to call. Any one of these shows could easily win, but I believe Fargo and American Horror Story: Hotel stand above the pack.

Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Limited Series or Motion Picture Made For Television

Nominees: Felicity Huffman, American Crime, Sarah Hay, Flesh and Bone, Kirsten Dunst, Fargo, Lady Gaga, American Horror Story: Hotel, Queen Latifah, Bessie

Predicted Winner: Lady Gaga

Why: The ladies in this category have all provided top rate performances, but I have a feeling that the shocker of the night will be a win for Lady Gaga.

Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Limited Series or Motion Picture Made For Television

Nominees: Patrick Wilson, Fargo, David Oyelowo, Nightingale, Idris Elba, Luther, Mark Rylance, Wolf Hall, Oscar Isaac, Show Me a Hero

Predicted Winner: Patrick Wilson

Why: Patrick Wilson gave a great performance as a complex character in Fargo and should be awarded for his efforts.

Best Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Television Limited Series or Motion Picture Made For Television

Nominees: Regina King, American Crime, Joanne Froggatt, Downton Abbey, Uzo Aduba, Orange Is The New Black, Judith Light, Transparent, Maura Teirney, The Affair
