Sarah Neufeld Announces New Album “The Ridge” and Spring Tour

Sarah Neufeld may be known by many for her work with critically acclaimed alternative band Arcade Fire, but she has been very busy in her own right. There is the contemporary instrumental group Bell Orchestre. 2015 brought her album with saxophonist Colin Stetson, Never Were the Way She Was. Now, her second solo album, The Ridge, is set to be released February 26 with a tour to follow.

Beginning March 21, fans from California to New York will be able to witness her new take on what has been described as “rhythmic pop minimalism.” Her debut single, “The Ridge,” features dense layers of Neufeld’s violin and vocals backed by driving drums and copious electronic effects. The composition of this song leads little doubt that The Ridge will be one of the most unique releases of 2016.
