I Hate Fairyland to be Released by Image Comics

I Hate Fairyland.
No, this is not an admission a person makes to a therapist after a vividly demented dream where fairytale villains run amok. Instead, it is a comic book from Image Comics, the inspired brainchild of bestselling artist Skottie Young and Jean-Francois Beaulieu.
Approached in the same vein as Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz with a character magically transported to fairyland, however, this comic creates a new wrinkle where its protagonist is Gertrude, a 40-year-old snarky woman.
Despite its macabre look at fairyland, the story is fast pacing, engaging and certain to grip readers.
I Hate Fairyland has already generated some critical buzz with one reviewer predicting “you’ll be both disturbed and entertained at the same time.” Another reviewer calls it “funny, smart and incredibly original.”
I Hate Fairyland is slated for release on October 14.
