Blindspot: First Impressions

Blindspot 1

I’ll be the first to admit that when I initially heard about NBC’s “Blindspot”, I didn’t really think much into it. Then I kept hearing about it – first online and then from friends and coworkers. Finally, while watching an episode online of Geek and Sundry’s “Critical Role” starring Matthew Mercer and other professional voice actors playing Dungeons and Dragons, I heard about one of the players, Ashley Johnson, who also had a role in the series. There the show was again, a shout-out on my favorite web series. What was “Blindspot” all about and why was I so blind to this new series that was coming out? So I looked into it and it opened my eyes.

Jaimie Alexander, Sullivan Stapleton, Ashley Johnson, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, and so many more talented actors were attached to this series. The cast had certainly piqued my interest. If you’ve seen the trailer for “Blindspot”, you know what the show is about. An amnesiac girl (Jaimie Alexander) wakes up in Times Square with strange tattoos all over her body. These tattoos seem to be the only path to finding out who she really is and she teams up with FBI agent Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton), whose name is tattooed on her back, to do it.

“Blindspot” appears to be part procedural and part mystery, but we won’t know for sure until tonight’s premiere on NBC at 10/9c. Let’s find out together, shall we?
