A Win for the Fans: SyFy Channel Renews Dark Matter for Second Season

Just days after the season one finale of SyFy’s Dark Matter it was announced that the channel has renewed the fan favorite for a second season. This comes on the heels of a fan-led social media campaign to #RenewDarkMatter. The show gained an instant fan base when it premiered on the channel’s “SyFy Friday” lineup, following the established show Defiance and another newcomer, Killjoys (which has also received a stamp of approval on renewal, while Defiance‘s fate still hangs in the balance). With strong performances from the ensemble cast, Dark Matter‘s second season is sure to thrill, as well as (hopefully) answering many of the questions left with the season finale.
