Gordon Thomson joins the Winterthorne dynasty

Canadian actor Gordon Thomson has a new dynasty.

Over 30 years after thrilling American audiences with his portrayal of dastardly wayward son Adam Carrington in the popular 1980s night-time soap opera Dynasty, Thomson trades the Denver Carrington oil empire for the Winterthorne candy regime in the online soap Winterthorne. This time, instead of playing the vengeful son of an oil tycoon, Thomson tackles the role of patriarch Maxmillian Winterthorne.

Adam Carrington infamously laced rival Jeff Colby’s office with toxic paint. What toxic schemes will Maxmillian brew?

Before Dynasty, Thomson appeared on the daytime soap opera Ryan’s Hope. After Dynasty was cancelled in 1989, the actor moved to roles in daytime (Days of Our Lives, Passions, Sunset Beach and The Young and the Restless) and film ( The Poseidon Adventure and Little Miss Sunshine). He also appeared in the web series, Devanity.

Winterthorne premieres today, August 27.
