A Poldark Viewer’s Survival Guide

For eight weeks, viewers have enjoyed  watching the adventures of Ross Poldark unfold in Poldark on Masterpiece. But the season one finale aired Sunday, August 2. Fans were left in limbo as Ross’ fate was in jeopardy. What do fans do with their Poldark empty Sunday nights?

Here are some suggestions:

If you haven’t seen the original Poldark starring Robin Ellis it is available on DVD. This would be the perfect time to watch while you await the return of the Aiden Turner version. It is a great adaptation of the novels by Winston Graham.

Read the Poldark novels by Winston Graham. With his proflic writing style and visual imagery, you will feel as though you are watching episodes.

I must offer a warning that the novels and original DVDs contain spoilers that may ruin the surprises when the PBS show returns.

Finally, if you are creative why not try your hand at writing Poldark fan fiction. You can determine the outcome of your favorite characters lives as well as creating new ones.
