Chicago’s very own and personally one of my favorites, rock n’ roll-funk band has announced their summer tour dates and the release of their upcoming album, Mind Your Head, produced by former American Idol judge, Randy Jackson. This marks the second album for the band following their 2012 self-titled album and 2011 EP.
Bringing audiences an array of musical stylings are Corey Frye (vocals), Max Newman (guitar), Ben “Smiley” Silverstein (keyboards), Reuben Gingrich (drums) and Jeremiah Hunt (bass).
The group came together in 2010 in Bloomington, Indiana taking their music to local shows before touring nationally. Since 2014, The Main Squeeze has toured over 160 dates, including some of the country’s most notable music festivals, including Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, Summercamp and Gathering of the Vibes.
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting the boys in 2014 and I have to say they are just as eclectic as their music and a name you won’t want to forget!
