Cover Wars: Renegades

“Renegades” is the second single from X Ambassador’s debut studio album VHS. The song was written as a commercial tie in with the release of the Jeep Renegade. “Renegades” is the band’s most successful song to date, peaking at Number 1 on Billboard’s US Alternative Song Chart.

X Ambassadors is an alternative-rock band from Ithaca, New York and consists of four members, Sam Harris, Casey Harris, Noah Feldshuh, and Adam Levin. The four-piece band are label mates with alternative powerhouse Imagine Dragons and collaborated with them on VHS.

After hearing “Renegades” on the Jeep commercial it was stuck in my head for days and has become one of my favorite songs of the summer. To honor my love of this song and my slight obsession with X Ambassadors, here are my Top 4 covers of “Renegades.”
