Los Angeles Band Releases ‘Boy Meets World’ Inspired Single

Los Angeles rock band, Decoded, released their new single entitled, “Topanga” (Mark Needham Mix), inspired by the 90s hit sitcom Boy Meets World. Bringing the song to life are band members Derek Jordan (vocals and guitar) and Heather Mills (drums).

“I’ve Always kind of associated myself with the marvel of shows like The Wonder Years and Boy Meets World,” singer Derek Jordan explained. “My childhood and adulthood never resembled the romantics of ‘the girl next door’ but it has always been something I’ve longed for. Growing up I always wished for something like that – that innocent, genuine love story – but it never happened. So I wrote a song about her, Topanga. The idea of Topanga. It’s an anthem for all us hopeless romantics out there. What we wished for never came true, but we still hold a place for it in our hearts.”

Decoded brings an eclectic mix of pop, catchy hooks with added elements of grunge, blues, classic rock, lounge, Native American influenced rhythms and melodies.

The song is available now for streaming on Diffuser.fm and on Decoded’s official Soundcloud. The band will releases their EP Topanga (Deluxe Edition) on July 14, 2015.
